On Wisconsin!

Thank you to Kathy and my Franklin Heights book club for the ride along from Lacrosse to Spring Green! It’s so nice to know I have folks believing I can do this thing that I am making my way through.

I can’t believe I ride a bike all this way already and I got to enjoy a beautiful early fall day in the drift less area. Wisconsin showed up for us today. It was a relief to be here, the scenery is stunning and respite from the flat, windy fields of Minnesota and South Dakota. We were told the Missoula to Rapid City was the most challenging, but I think the last leg is the psychological burner. Endless repetition, blowing wind day after day. I’ve told many people the more I travel the more I appreciate Wisconsin its natural beauty and friendly mindset and people. More than once we were approached outside of the hotel, on the road by locals wanting to know what we were up to and who wished us well. So thank you Wisconsin for reminding me of your beauty and neighborliness, spirit and kindness and all what you bring to the world. It will be hard for me to step on that ferry in four days and keep moving East across Lake Michigan.
