Happy birthday to Jenna, my ride along for this glorious day that brought me to the Adirondacks. We earned this day through yesterday’s suffering. Sun, clear, blue skies and peak fall colors. Just. Lovely!
I rode with Jeffery today with the goal to get to the Irondiquiot inn before 4- Success! As we made our way north we were wondering what we’d say in response to the question, “ How was your ride cross country?” It’s actually stopping a lot of us because it is so hard to answer. I heard: profound, long, hard to explain, ummmmm….. I think I need a quick response to prevent the Ted Talk of complex experiences from scaring folks. It was good. It was harder than I thought. It taught me a lot. It was challenging. I’ll have to think more about that.
